Building worth beyond wealth.
GROWING SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
What if prosperity meant planting trees you'll never sit under?
Wealth isn’t just what we accumulate—it’s what we make possible.
At MotherTree, we believe it’s time to grow something different.
We partner with people who want to protect what they’ve built—and pass it on with heart. We work with those ready to transition their business, their wealth, or their influence into something more meaningful.
We are not here to extract. We are here to tend.
Whether you’re looking to retire with dignity, invest with purpose, or build the kind of future you wished you had—there is space for you here.

We don’t just invest in businesses—we steward legacies.
As a regenerative business steward, MotherTree acquires and supports essential local businesses to keep them in community hands. Our approach modernizes operations, sustains jobs, and opens doors for underrepresented entrepreneurs.
THE THREE PILLARS OF OUR MODEL
Preserve What Works
Succession that honours legacy and keeps businesses rooted where they belong.
Regenerate What’s Possible
Shared prosperity through reinvestment, not extraction.
Grow Who Leads
Pathways to ownership for those historically left out: women, LGBTQ2+, Indigenous, racialized, and disabled founders.
Our Mission
Empowering growth in net worth and self-worth through well-being, equity, and regenerative business practices.

About Our Name
We take our name from the Mother Trees found in old-growth forests—a concept researched and championed by forest ecologist Dr. Suzanne Simard, Professor of Forest Ecology at the University of British Columbia (UBC), and the leader of The Mother Tree Project.
These elder trees connect and nourish the forest through an underground mycorrhizal network. They send water, nutrients, and messages to younger trees, especially in times of stress. They don’t just survive—they ensure others can thrive.
At MotherTree, we do the same. We support businesses and people in transition. We nourish what’s next.
Because a healthy future starts with those willing to share their strength.
